So, this is how it feels when you’re running out of money.

Dang it’s sucks!

What would you do when you feel bored at the office? When the work overload or perhaps there are no work to do?

Well, in my case, I got bored oftenly because there are not much to do at the office. To kill time I usually browse the net for everything. But, in time like this, when the internet connection is very low and I can’t open a single page without waiting for an hour (okay, that’s hyperbolic), I will turn on my Nokia 6255 and listen to the radio through its built in FM radio.

This is the list of my favorite radio channels:

There were times when I listened to this radio everyday, especially listening to the dynamite-duo of Dagink-Desta which will give me stomach ache for laughing hard of their jokes. But, I stop listening to the radio recently. No specific reason, just stop and listen to other channel. You can stream their radio through their website at pramborsfm.com.

Actually, this is not my favorite channel. I listened to them only on my car when my little sisters are on board. They usually listen to this channel because they have the most updated songs, especially from local artists.

They say that the music of 90’s is the best. Well, I can’t agree more. After all, I’m one of those 90’s kid, filled my life with the songs of boybands and other legendary groups or solos. Jak FM is the channel for them 90’s kid. It is loaded with songs from 90’s and today. I love this channel.  It’s very much taking me back to old times when I was in junior high and high school. But after several weeks, I got bored, because the songs they played are oftenly the same. I swear I can guess what song will be played next. Haha…

• U FM (94.7 FM)

This is the current radio channel I listened to. A friend of mine recommended this channel. It has the taste of 90’s, just like Jak FM, but with a whole lot songs in it. If I’m not mistakenly heard, songs from other eras were also played here, including the recents. In short, they only playing good music. So far, I wouldn’t change my channel to other radio than this one. Let’s see how long I could stand before I got bored.

Okay, that’s the list I got. Not much channel, huh? I’m not a music guy, so I don’t have a lot referrences.

Now, what’s your favorite radio channel?

In fact, not only in the morning, but the last few days, all day long Jakarta was been hit by hard rain. It seems that the sky couldn’t stop the rain from falling all day.

To be honest, I don’t really mind if rain falling everyday. But I have to admit that riding bike in the middle of hard rain is quite troublesome. Not because of wet shirt it caused, no. I am well prepared for covering my body and belongings from the falling water. But it is about having short vision because the light is blocked by the rain. Even when it is not raining, I already have trouble with my vision. Yes, having -6.5 lens on each eye is not the best condition to drive, especially when it is raining.

I would have to be extra careful when changing racing line. I don’t want to be hit by bus or car when doing it. It will be very stupid if I got hit like that.

But riding in rain is not all bad. In fact, there are somethings I do like when it is raining: every car and bike would be running very careful (if not slow) and you can’t barely breath the polluted air, instead you’ll be breathing rather clean air with a nice smell. It is very relaxing and enjoyable.

Now, I wonder how long does this rain gonna take? I don’t hope it will be all day, yet, I don’t mind if it is, as long as it did not cause flood.

Raining all day long without causing flood? Here in Jakarta? Now that’s what I call daydreaming. Hehe…

To be honest, I’m having a hard time maintaining two blogs at the same time: this blog and my other blog in my domain. The most difficult thing is which blog should I choose to post an article, because these two blogs have the same characteristics and article criteria, which is about any computer and technology or other daily issues I encountered.

At first, I have a plan to shut down this blog. But then again, I simply can’t do that because this blog is the main source of money I gathered from blogsvertise and other programs. Although the rank is already decreased to 2, but there are still several task coming to this blog and the payment are still big (USD 10).

So, I finally came to a decision: I will reposition this blog into my english-based blog.  You know when you watch movies or read comic books, sometimes they have nice quotes in it and it often crossed my mind although the movie or comic already been read long time ago. Perhaps I will fill up this blog with those kind of quotes, whether it is good quotes or it is useless quotes. Yes, as useless as it can be, but if I like it, I will put it in here. Hey, it’s my blog, I can do whatever I want in here. Ha!

I will still keep my old posts for those are the main reason why blogsvertise still gives me task. Hehe…

And here we are, the beginning of a not-so-new blog of me. I hope I can enjoy it. No, you don’t have to enjoy it. The most important thing is I enjoy it. If I don’t enjoy it, then I should stop writing. If anybody else liked my writing then that’s a plus.

Oh, I should gives credit to my friend Nico, from his blogs (he got what, 3 or 4 blogs) I got the idea to write an english-based blog. Thanks, mate!

Udah beberapa minggu ga update blog. Rasanya kok lama betul ya. Yang pasti, ga update bukan karena sibuk. Kerjaan ga ada kok sibuk

Anyway, here are some updates:

1. Perkembangan OpenGL udah lumayan nih. Dari sejak mulai lesson 01 beberapa minggu yang lalu, saat ini udah sampe lesson 09. Sebenernya sih ga sulit, cuma ngatasin rasa malesnya itu yang berat. Jadi, buat yang nyasar ke blog ini nyari info tentang OpenGL, sabar dulu yak. Insya Allah setelah lesson 10 mau iseng bikin program pake OpenGL ini. Mudah-mudahan malesnya bisa di-overcome (Banyak juga yang nyari info tentang OpenGL, sampe postingan tentang persiapan OpenGL masuk Top 3 Search blog ini)

2. Akhir-akhir ini kerjaan Paid Review tampak seret. Untuk bulan November aja dari Blogsvertise cuma dapet 2 tugas, padahal biasanya sebulan bisa dapet 4 atau 5 tugas. Apa ini tanda-tanda kejatuhan Paid Review ya? Wah, mesti cari alternatif cari duit nih.

3. Kayaknya ga bisa mengharapkan program Paid To Click, makin banyak situs yang scam. Lagi coba cash out dari satu situs tapi kok lama banget ya? Belum sebulan sih, tapi rasanya lama betul. Mudah-mudahan beneran di bayar dah, lumayan, lebih dari USD 50, bisa buat nutupin biaya internet, itu klo beneran dibayar

4.  Mesti kebut belajar beberapa hal untuk persiapan "that plan" Sempet bingung juga jadinya, tuntasin OpenGL atau beralih dulu ke Flash? Hmm… I think I’ll stick to OpenGL first.

5. This one does not related to me directly. Kemarin baru dapet pengumuman kalau adik saya lolos seleksi PNS Depkeu. Wah, akhirnya ada juga penerus PNS di keluarga. Of course, my parents were extremely happy. In fact, they instantly cried after heard the news, happy tears that is. Dari kejadian itu saya sadar, ternyata jadi PNS itu masih jadi kebanggaan ya buat keluarga. Jadi, nyesel nih ga jadi PNS? Ha! Untungnya tidak. I’ve got my own plans Nah, karena konon kabarnya PNS Depkeu duitnya banyak, tampaknya biaya internet ini bisa segera dibebankan ke adik saya itu. Yaha!

6. Apa lagi ya? Itu aja lah. Cape nulis panjang-panjang

Terkait dengan postingan sebelumnya, Kalau bicara tentang US Comic sebenernya bukan untuk kampanye Pemilu aja komik dimanfaatkan untuk kampanye dan propaganda. Contoh terakhir, salah satu serial dari Amazing Spider-Man diisi cerita tentang seorang rekan Peter Parker bernama Flash Thompson yang bertugas sebagai tentara di Irak. Di situ diceritakan tentang aksi heroik si Flash pada suatu misi yang pada akhirnya mendapatkan medali dari pemerintah.

Dilihat (dan dibaca) dari isi ceritanya, jelas sekali tujuan dari komik ini adalah untuk menghormati para tentara US yang dikirimkan ke Irak dan negara-negara lain sekaligus juga (mungkin) mencoba membangkitkan rasa nasionalisme orang-orang US melalui cerita-cerita seperti ini. Despite the controvercy of the Iraqi War, tujuan dari komik ini sangat bagus.

Pemanfaatan komik untuk hal seperti ini pun sangat mengena alias efektif dan efisien. Ga perlu itu buang-buang uang untuk iklan-iklan yang sok-sok membangkitkan nasionalisme padahal tujuan utamanya untuk kampanye Capres atau partai.

Selain untuk kampanye, ternyata komik juga digunakan untuk alat propaganda. Ini ketemu dari satu blog, tentang komik yang menggambarkan citra Indonesia di mata dunia. Judul komiknya, Authority dari penerbit Wildstorm. Ternyata Indonesia lumayan dikenal juga ya, meskipun dikenalnya karena citranya yang kurang bagus. Ha!

 

Ternyata baca komik ga selalu sia-sia ya, banyak juga manfaatnya.

Note: Statement terakhir di atas cuma pembenaran aja biar bisa bebas baca komik. Haha…

Bingung, yang Pemilu di sana kok di Indonesia sini juga ada yang ngeributin ya? Sampe ada stasiun TV yang repot-repot ngirim reporternya buat ngeliput konvensi partai peserta Pemilu di sana. Tambah lagi, kayaknya "big deal" banget salah satu capres-nya a.k.a Obama pernah tinggal di Indonesia. Pertanda orang-orang (atau paling ga, para stasiun TV itu) sudah mengakui US sebagai pemimpin dunia sampai repot-repot bikin liputan?

Tapi terus terang salut juga dengan proses panjang Pemilu di sana, kampanyenya tampak begitu terasa sampai yang bukan di US pun terkena imbasnya. Kampanye di sini maksudnya bukan kampanye capres, tapi kampanye tentang Pemilu itu sendiri. Bahkan sampai media komik pun dimanfaatkan untuk kampanye Pemilu ini. Contohnya kayak mini seri DC Universe: Decisions yang baru aja rampung. Meskipun di dalam ceritanya tetap ada Super-Villain yang jadi objek penderita, tapi inti dari seluruh cerita itu sendiri untuk mendukung proses Pemilu di US dan mendorong warga US (terutama yang seneng baca komik) untuk memilih saat Pemilu presiden besok (4 November). Salut!

Kapan ya di Indonesia komik jadi media propaganda kayak begini? Tapi kayaknya pertama yang mesti ditanyain adalah, "kapan Indonesia bisa bikin komik yang bermutu?"

Jadi, kapan? Hehe…

Benar-benar ide yang kreatif. Ini yang namanya menipu untuk kebaikan diri sendiri.
