Okay. Let’s do some comparison now. My house at Jakarta uses Telkomnet@Instan to surf the internet. Since no one except me and my younger brother that often surf the net and since both of us rarely come visit to this house, Telkomnet@Instan is a fair choice. As for me, when I’m not in my campus, I use Fren by Mobile-8 paired with CBN prepaid. I got it last year when I got awfully sick so I had to take total bed rest and I badly need an internet connection. I have to begged to my father to get it :p

This is the best result of Telkomnet@Instan’s connection speed after several tests by speakeasy.net (thanx to achai for the info in his blog):

A ‘lil bit odd for the upload rate isn’t it?
While this is the result of Mobile-8 paired with CBN prepaid, also the best after several tests:

Not bad, huh?

But I’ve been thinking to change to other cell phone operator since Mobile-8 + CBN is somewhat not too reliable nowadays: can’t surf the net although it already gives the “connected” notification. Maybe I’ll change to XL. But first I have to get me a GSM cell phone because my previous handy was broken a year ago. Just hoping my dad will buy a new cell phone for himself soon, so I can have his current Nokia 6680 :D

One thing I like to say: thank you, God for creating internet. Can’t live without it :)

Amazing Life 12:55 am

Hah. Finally, I got back to my home at Jakarta. It’s been a while since my last visit to this lovely house. Last time I came here was on Idul Fitri (what do you say Idul Fitri in English?), about a month ago. I rarely visit my parents here in Jakarta, usually only if there’s an event such as previous Idul Fitri. My visit here is also because of next week’s Idul Adha. Actually, according to campus agenda, it’s still exam week. But I’ve only got two exams left and it’s at the 2nd of January so I got quite a lot of time to get me a holiday.

It’s so good to see my parents and all of my brothers and sisters. Not all of it, actually. My younger brother (his age and mine only differ by one year) still in Bogor, continuing his college project at Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB). Don’t know whether he’ll get back home soon or not. That mean, today I met both of my parents, my older sister and her husband (they still live in this house, recently married), my older brother, and 3 out of 4 of my younger brothers and sisters. Please do the counting :)

It sure is one big family and I can assure you that it’s definitely crowded in here. Crowded but I like it. No, no.  Not like it. I love it :D

Home Sweet Home…
